Jeremy Gavenfield is an experimental art project by visual artist Justin Gedak, created as a space to explore the possibilities of generative AI through a darker, old-world lens.
Inspired by Pre-Raphaelite painting, Romanticism, medieval imagery, mythology, and the weathered beauty of historic oil paintings, the project imagines forgotten kingdoms, quiet figures, ruined landscapes, and stories that never existed.
The images begin through creating thousands of AI painting generations, which are then selected, directed, refined, and edited using Photoshop and Topaz to build a cohesive visual world.
Jeremy Gavenfield is separate from Justin's personal artwork, while remaining another outlet for the same fascination with portraiture, atmosphere, and imagined worlds.
